If you’re redecorating or renovating a kids bedroom before you begin plan out a theme. Look through magazines/books to get inspiration and ideas, let your child get involved, ask them what kind of room they would like. There are so many different themes to play with, a boy may like Pirates, trains, superheroes. A girl may like Princess, Ballerina or fairies. Once you have your theme then decide on the lay out and the furniture/items you need in the room. You want the room to not only look atheistically pleasing but to be functional as well. For older kids you may need a desk, bean bags are always fun, toy chests, bookcases and boxes are always good to keep things organised
When it comes to decorating, play with colours, have an accent wall. Wallpaper is great but if you don’t want to commit then you can use stickers and murals. A mosaic is always good and you can always let the kids help and paint a small area. For example if you are doing an Aquatic theme then do a mosaic with underwater scene with bright colours, fish, shells and mermaids.
